The 9th Symposium on Endocardiac Biomechanics Research has closed

after 2 days of dynamic exchanges around a high quality programme appreciated by all.

The Organising Committee would like to thank the Congress delegates, partners for their participation and support, and speakers that have contributed to the success of this edition.

All the scientific programme presentations, authorized by the authors,

will be soon available on the website.

See you in 2012!

A biomechanical approach which takes into account the rheology of coronary arteries, the mechanical properties of coronary endo-prosthesis as well as the physico-chemical aspects of biomaterials within an arterial context, was a major step towards minimizing restenosis.

In order to go deeper into this new approach, we are organizing the ninth symposium on « Endocardiac Biomechanics Research » which takes place in Marseille on May 6-7, 2010.

The aims of this symposium are to discuss the above mentionned aspects from the point of view of engineers, biologists and physicians, to discuss new technologies and stenting in the endocoronary field.

This year, we will focus on recent fundamental developments on vulnerable plaque, bifurcated stents and the new futurologies of the industry.
Special sessions will concern new practical questions due to recent technologies and their trail of potential adverse events.

We hope you will join us in Marseille to advance together on these unknown paths.
